Ioan Iosif is born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania on the 29th of November 1993. He studied Ceramics at the Universitatea de Artă și Design in Cluj- Napoca, at the Faculty of Decorative Arts, in the Ceramic-Glass-Metal Department.
His studies are composed of both Bachelor and Master of Arts Degree. He has completed the Bachelor in 2016 and the Master of Arts Degree in 2018.
While being a student, he took part at the Erasmus+ Program and went abroad to study Ceramics and do Traineeships in Turkey, Italy and Germany.
During his studies and after he took part to national and international ceramic competitions, group exhibitions and art symposiums in Romania, Turkey, Italy, Egypt, Germany and Danmark.
While being a student he took the opportunity of organizing his first solo exhibition ’Fragments’ in Macerata at the Spazio Mirionima (Curator: Proffsa Teresa Marasca).
After this event he had other solo ceramic exhibitions in Italy and Germany.
Currently he lives and works as an art teacher in North Rhine Westfalia, Germany.
At the same time, he works with ceramics, producing artistic and utilitarian ceramic objects in his studio (Kreativ Studio).
Since 2023 he became a member of IAC/AIC (International Academy of Ceramics).
Publication in the local Newspaper „Westfälische Nachrichten“ about the IAC German-speaking group exhibition, „Positionen keramischer Kunst“.
